”Ion Murgeanu” secondary School from Zorleni, received this name starting with September 1st, 2008, bearing the name of the famous poet, prose writer and journalist Ion Murgeanu (1940-2016) a son of the village and a member of the Writer,s Union in Romania since 1970.

Our school is the biggest secondary school in the rural environment of our county, Vaslui, educating 1020 students from preschool, primary, and secondary school cycles.
The coordinating unit has got 9 structures ascribed to it: No 2 Secondary School, No 3 Popeni Secondary School, Simila Primary School, No 1 Zorleni Kindergarten, No 2 Zorleni Kindergarten, No 3 Zorleni Kindergarten, Simila Kindergarten, Dealu Mare Kindergarten, Popeni Kindergarten, all of them with normal schedule being a total of 51 classes and groups of kindergartens operating in 10 schools and kindergartens buildings wich are equiped to European standards;

• 11 student with special needs (with certificate) and 21 without cetificate;
• 149 students whose one or both parents have left abroad or live in another town/village;
• 33 students whose families live from special benefits;
• 60 students who come from single parent families (who live with only one parent);
• 55 students whose parents fave a low level of education (their parents studied only 8 or under 8 classes).
