Under the Local Development Program, reducing poverty and increasing Roma inclusion, funded by the Norwegian Grants 2014-2021, the Vaslui County School Inspectorate obtained, as a promoter, a grant of 787,500 Euros for the project “A school for all and for every!”.
The general objective of the project is to increase the degree of social inclusion of 505 children from Vaslui and Galați counties, who are at risk, for a period of 32 months, pursuing, in particular, their inclusion in school and community.
The project is implemented in partnership with the Galati County School Inspectorate, in 5 educational units, of which 4 in Vaslui County (“Dimitrie Cantemir” Secondary School Vaslui, “Manolache Costache Epureanu” Secondary School Bârlad, ”Ion Murgeanu„ Secondary School Zorleni, and Secondary School no. 1 Gherghesti) and 2 in Galați County ( Secondary School no. 16 Galați and Secondary School no. 1 Ungureni, com. Munteni) between 30.10.2020 – 30.06.2023.
During this period, remedial and excellence educational programs, non-formal educational activities for students, training courses for teachers and workshops for parents in the target group are carried out.
The project is financially and morally supported by Vaslui County Council, Vaslui Local Council and City Hall, Bârlad Local Council and City Hall, Zorleni Local Council and City Hall, Gherghesti Local Council and City Hall in Vaslui County, as well as Galati County Council, Galati Local Council and City Hall and Local Council and Munteni City Hall in Galați County, both during the implementation and during the sustainability period of 3 years after the end of the external financing.
The project “A school for everyone and for everyone!” aims to increase the degree of social inclusion through concrete support measures, such as: counseling programs, remedial and excellence programs, non-formal education and the involvement and education of teachers and support staff, but also parents and guardians to support child support in education and school dropout prevention.
The project is needed for children in partner counties, located in poor areas, marked by parental migration to the West, unemployment and the perpetuation of lack of education.
Thus, the project directly contributes to the objectives of Area 8 – Children and young people at risk, as follows:
• 25 children with SEN identified and involved in counseling activities and educational programs – contribution of over 5.68% to the call indicator
• 475 children at risk of dropping out of school, of which 75 children of Roma ethnicity with a contribution of over 9.65% to the relevant indicator
• 368 rural children from the two targeted counties (Vaslui / NE Region and Galați / SE Region)
• a transition rate to higher levels (from primary to high school, respectively from high school to high school) of at least 3%
• 80 teachers and 100 parents will receive support, especially for a more inclusive education.
The partners collaborate for the establishment of the methodological framework and for the elaboration of the working tools, for the mobilization of the target groups and for the fulfillment of the assumed indicators, in conditions of maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
The promoter of the project, the Vaslui County School Inspectorate, ensures the general management and cooperates with the experts from the implementation team of Partner 1, the Galati County School Inspectorate, in order to achieve the proposed objectives.
